US Open 2015 Winners List

The 135th edition of US Open 2015 Tennis tournament was held from 31st August 2015 to 13th September 2015 at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, New York.

Tennis - US Open 2015 Winners List

Note : Two Indians (Sania Mirza and Leander Paes) have won Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles respectively.

Men's Singles

Novak Djokovic (Serbia) by beating Roger Federer (Swiss)

Important Point to Note :

• This is his 10th Grand Slam title.

Women's Singles

Flavia Pennetta(Italy) by beating Roberta Vinci (Italy)

Important Points to Note :

• This is Flavia's first Grand Slam title.
• She becomes the first Italian US Open Champion
• After winning this title, she announced her retirement.

Men's Doubles

Pierre-Hugues Herbert (France) and Nicolas Mahut (France) by beating Jamie Murray( Britain) and John Peers (Australia)

Women's Double

Martina Hingis (Swiss) and Sania Mirza (India) by beating Yaroslava Shvedova (Russia) and Casey Dellacqua (Australia)

Important Points to Note :

• This is their second Grand Slam title as a team this season after their title triumph at Wimbledon. 
• This was also the season's fifth title for Mirza and Hingis. In addition to Wimbledon, the pair won the Masters 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami as well as the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina, in the United States.

Mixed Doubles

Leander Paes (India) and Martina Hingis by beating Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) and Sam Querrey(USA) 

Important Point to Note :

• Paes has now won Nine Grand Slam mixed doubles titles, surpassing compatriot and former partner Mahesh Bhupathi’s record of eight titles.
